Beauty Secrets Workshop by Laneige

Joined Facebook giveaway from several blogshop/bloggers and finally won invitation to join the famous

"Beauty Secrets of a Korean Makeup Artist' Workshop".

tadaaa...

The workshops were held on the 2nd to 3rd of June in Raffles City Convention Centre, and I attended the 3rd June 11am slot. Had the chance to meet lots of bloggers there, e.g Ju Ann (who wrote for MyFatPocket), Carrie (The Cambelles), and lots more. There was only about less than 30 people , some of whom bought the SGD$80 voucher. Can I consider it a private and personal event? Was way too anxious so very few info / pictures of the event. Sorry. Still I would like to share my experience with you all.

Met Mr Romeo Eun, the International Makeup Educator of Laneige. If only you were there, even up close, his skin is so perfect for a man. Seriously I can't guess his actual age.

The event was break into two sessions, starting off with the skincare products. As much as I can remember, the take-home message was ESTEEM, with each letter representing a step of your must-have skincare regime.
Eye, is separated from the rest due to the delicacy and sensitivity of the eye area.
The followings are;
S - Soap for cleansing (most important, otherwise no point coating layers of essence, moisturizer, etc.)
T - toner (Laneige products can really tighten or minimize your pores over time, so there's hope girls)
E - emulsion
E - essence
M - moisturizer
Can't really differentiate between the last three, and I really got to sharpen my memory skill. Too bad, I didn't make any note during the event. Lucky that I came bare face because the skincare regime require all to "strip"/ removing all our makeups. But I gotta say, their makeup remover (oil-based) was super efficient. I noticed that others who had heavy makeups can easily remove them in minutes. Salute.

The skincare and makeup products that will be introduced and used during the event. We are free to test and use them throughout the event as well. Weee....
Presenter, Isabelle (with the microphone) explaining to the attendees on the skincare regimes, step-by-step and product-by-product.
Each table is assisted with a personal beauty adviser who guides us through the whole event. Didn't get her name though, and her eye makeup looks gorgeous (golden shimmering eyeshadow).

And this is me, camwhoring while going through the skincare regime.
After finishing with our skincare regime, we move on to the next session with makeup tips from Mr Romeo himself. Before that, refreshment time. ^^

What we had for refreshment. Yupe, held at Fairmont Hotel.
Back to the next session, we have Mr Romeo, with the help of a translator, guided us through a makeup session starting with a primer up to the last touch of a lip gloss. Similarly, there are the latest Laniege makeup products on the table for us to use as he explains in front. It's about learning how to make-up and achieve makeup-free face. Sounds impossible/ tricky? That is the fact. Koreans know how to apply their makeups without looking like a face of powder or so. And not to mention, to look younger and have slimmer face. In fact, your face wont' look stiff or dry, but moist and hydrated even with makeups on. That's the beauty of Laneige makeup! Lucky attendees will also get the chance to look sexy, glamorous, innocent, etc. simply from Mr Romeo's magic hands.
Mr Romeo dolling up a volunteer who requested for sexy look.
And this volunteer requested for glamorous look. Tips: You don't need heavy makeup to look glamor, just do it the right.
Few tips that I can remember and would love to share with you:

1. Moderate is best.
Try not to apply to much. Put the right amount at the right place.

2. Contouring and highlighting.
No more T-zone, but it is the "S" - following the line from your eyes down to your cheek/ laugh line.
And don't finish up by brushing powder all over the face. Just your face line.

3. It's all about the right product, and that will be Laneige.
Use the correct product that suits your skin and the right products that can be trusted for its benefits and ingredients.

With that, this ends my post on Laneige beauty workshop. I know this is rather short and pointless, but I promise I will do better the next time. Bear with me as I am still learning, can share your comment and critics with me.

Lastly, thanks to the two bloggers whom I won the invitation from. Thank you.
